Purpose
AAAP exists to:
- Provide a professional network for the exchange of ideas, research developments, news and information
- Strengthen professional relationships and cultural understanding
among palaeoanthropologists and allied researchers in the
Asian-Australasian region
- Promote cross-disciplinary collaboration within the region
- Facilitate skills transfer and to help support research in regions with limited capacity and infrastructure
- Promote the value of science and the benefits of a career in science (especially palaeoanthropology) to the broader community
- Provide a public voice for palaeoanthropologists in the region to
engage with other professional scientific associations, the media,
government, multinational organisations and broader society
